Bridge is a very popular pastime on the Bookham U3A. Groups meet in each other’s houses when convenient and a session usually comprises two tables. Bookham U3A currently has six Bridge Groups of varying standards of play, including a group for Beginners and 'Improvers'.

Some of the Groups were formed a long time ago and now have experienced players still meeting, but some of the more recently formed Groups have less experienced players eager to learn the finer points of the game. The intention is that Improvers will join existing Groups when more players are needed, or form their own new Groups(s)

Also charity Bridge events are held from time to time in the area. If you are interested in playing (or learning to play) Bridge and would like to join a Group please contact Peter Clarke in the first instance on 01372 450908, or by email at bri0x@bookhamu3a.org.uk and he will endeavour to fit you in a Group.
