We spend our meetings sharing our efforts, which means we enjoy listening to an intriguing variety of approaches. Often our given subject is a single word. Our writing may take the form of fact or fiction, dialogue, poetry or prose. We relish the humour in other people’s writing, marvel at an unusual use of words, are moved by descriptions that touch the heart, and wonder at the ability of someone to enter another’s world.

The group provides an opportunity to be in contact with other people at a level that is a step beyond the superficial, and it’s all great fun. The Group meets on alternate Fridays at 10.30. If any aspiring writer would like to join the Group please contact Bill

Currently we still work by Zoom each member writing and reading @ our fortnightly meeting. I set the subjects.  This works well and we could easily take two or more additional members.. We have given-up Penny -Readings which we performed for many years at Bartons Bookshop and then in the Green Room of the Theatre; we are too old for the extra work involved; so our light is hidden very much under a bushel.

So, Yes, we could take new people if they Zoom and would like to try our vision of Creative Writing. I compare it to writing in an Ad' agency where you may be asked to write anything at short notice.
