Ours is a small informal group who meet on the fourth Monday of the month, from about 2.15pm to 4.45pm. If this falls on a Bank Holiday then that month’s meeting is cancelled. Meetings take place in member’s houses and the host for that month also selects the play to read and provides the tea and  biscuits. The library collection for music and drama has been taken over by NewSPAL, a charity organisation which at present is still housed at Bourne Hall in Ewell.  The host chooses a play to be read that month and the play sets can either be returned by courier at the expense of the host or returned by the host to Ewell.  All members pay an annual nominal fee to cover the hire of the play sets, which this year amounts to £9 per person and usually each member is only required to host the group meeting once per year.

The number in the group is limited in order to accommodate people comfortably. A wide variety of plays is encouraged. This is an easy, friendly and sociable group and we aim to enjoy any play from comedy to crime and expanding the mind is our aim! Our group is full at the present time.
