We
started this Group in July 2017 and have proved to be a friendly group
of interested general gardeners who are willing to share knowledge, experience and
plants. We
meet on the 4th Wednesday of the month at
2.30 pm in each other’s homes or enjoying a visit to a local garden. This gives us the opportunity to explore
our own gardens and to offer advice.
We try to arrange visits to local gardens where the owners will take a small group, usually found in the NGS garden book.
Our traditional January meeting is a post Christmas lunch. This year we went to the Old Crown, Bookham. We were able to put forward suggestions for the next few months.
We had hoped to see snowdrops but they are flowering so early there won't be many to see by the end of the month.
We plan to meet at the Vineries garden centre for tea and discuss future plans.
We plan to arrange visits to local gardens later in the year.
This is a friendly and lively group who are all interested in gardening varying from the more experienced to those less so but all keen to learn from one another.
Happy gardening!
