Meetings are held on the 2nd Monday morning of each month starting at 10.00am in the Waterfield Room of the Old Barn Hall. There are 10 sessions a year; not including July/August when we have an outing and December when we celebrate the year with a Christmas lunch.

At each meeting a member of the group gives a presentation on a topic of their choice, which have varied enormously over the years. Recently we've had talks on the Black Death, Tolpuddle Martyrs, Provincial Banks, April Fools, WW2 Diaries, Gin, Zebedee Lovemore, Brooklands and Caroline Norton - a real eclectic mix! If you haven't heard of some of these topics; nor had many of the group members.  Which means we have all enjoyed learning a lot about subjects we knew nothing about or didn't know existed!

So, if you know nothing about anything; why not join us and learn something about (not quite) everything. It really is that diverse and so much fun!

Each November the meeting is a Pot Pourri of 'numerous' 10 minute chats from members which gives a flavour of possible future presentations.

If you are at all interested in social history, why not get in touch and try a 'taster' session with a group  of friendly individuals - - you would be most welcome.

And to make it even better each session is washed down with copious supplies of tea/coffee and biscuits
