We meet on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month at 2.30 for a talk, tea and a chat.  We are keen to meet other like-minded people who may wish they had learned a bit more history while they were at school, so long ago.

The groups interests lie across wide periods of history from ancient to modern.  Recent talks include: Hadrian's Wall; Howard and the Spanish Armada; Wellington Early Career; and John and His Son Henry III.  Whilst presenting at the meetings is not required, the talks each time are by members of the group. So wherever your interests lie, whether it is from reading historical novels, visiting historic sites or even from real knowledge, please come and join us and perhaps share your historical interest with us.

The group is led by Simon Phillips and if you would like to know more please contact Simon now and arrange to come along for a taster session.
