This group is for members who are interested in future trips to local theatres which could include Chichester, Guildford, Richmond, Wimbledon and Woking. Travel is by coach from Bookham Village for matinee performances. London theatres tend to be avoided because of the high cost and excessive travelling time.
In 2023 there were two theatre visits. The first on Thursday 23rd February to see Alan Ayckbourn's hilarious play 'Relatively Speaking' at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre Guildford; starring Liza Goddard & Antony Eden. The second on Wednesday 4th October to the New Victoria Theatre Woking for the brilliant 'Life of Pi' . I think everyone who saw it would have happily gone back to see it again - it was that good!
2024 brought visits to see the political comedy 'Party Games' on Saturday 4th May at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre Guildford. And on 10th October we returned to Woking to enjoy the 5* production of 'Come from Away. Another play we all want to see again!!
As for 2025, tickets for two productions have been reserved. They are:-
'Chicago' on Thursday 12th June & 'Riverdance' on Sunday 21st September
Keep an 'eye & ear' open for when the tickets go on sale - so you don't miss out on either of these fabulous performances.
Kind regards,
Brian
