The group was formed in January 2012 with a membership of 14 so we are now in our 12th year - we must have got through a lot of wine through the years!!

We meet on the second Thursday of the month but we now find that 11 is the maximum number we can accommodate in our homes. Each member takes it in turn to host and present different wines.

We have covered wines from various countries this year (2024) including Australia, Italy, France, and Spain. In the past we have introduced wine from different countries including Hungary, Austria, Germany, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Switzerland, New Zealand, Argentina, Greece etc.  We have also tasted wines from The Coop, Lidl, Waitrose, and Majestic. Another time we have tasted them and then guess the price the host has paid - It’s often the cheapest wines which we like best!

Our December meeting has a very festive feel - everyone brings their favourite food and wine and we finish with mince pies and crackers - not forgetting a little something to finish off with!
